How long does it take?
I find that most businesses require 6-8 weeks to come to a clear and executable marketing strategy. That’s why my work is delivered in a 3-month timeline with weekly meetings. This time frame allows for swift and decisive action (you need not wait 3 months before doing something) as well as for cycles of transformation to play out and inform the strategy.
what do I get?
I provide both guaranteed and optional deliverables tailored to your strategy.
Guaranteed is a document of brand guidelines – an internal playbook that informs you and all collaborators how you plan to communicate and deliver your offering. Designers, contractors, business service providers, employees and allies align their efforts to this document.
Optionally, I design and deliver the materials (see design section above) laid out in the strategy. This could be product design, website, visual identity, presentation materials, even environmental design for a trade show or event space. It all depends on what the strategy suited for for your specific offering – there is no cookie cutter here.
This mix of solid strategy and optional design assures you get made what you need, but are not tied to just me as a provider. I set you up to work with anyone you wish.
how do you work?
In weekly, remote video calls, I take you through modules designed to clarify and plan your brand strategy. You may think I should tell you what you should and shouldn’t do, but by the end, you’ll be telling me. In these strategic sessions, I ask questions and guidance that takes you from a cloud of possibilities to tangible, executable activities, and record those to a living document of brand guidelines. If the strategy points to immediate action and execution, we add those in as they arise.
do you provide a la carte design services?
I consider singular design projects, so do ask. But I will ask for clear guidance and strategy. Design work is best executed when it is tied to a firm, strategic purpose. Crafting that clear guidance is what I am best at, so I am likely to turn down design projects that lack clarity, to save both of us. In those events, I suggest instead the process of forming that strategy before anything is designed.
